Unlike discs or triangles, these objects are often described as smooth spheres that appear metallic or luminous while exhibiting quiet, controlled movement that has drawn the attention of both civilian witnesses and military observers.

The Orb Phenomenon

Witnesses commonly describe these objects as nearly perfect spheres, ranging from small glowing lights to larger metallic-looking objects several meters across. Depending on the observation, they may appear reflective, uniformly illuminated, or emit light in colors such as white, orange, blue, or amber. In many reports, the illumination appears to originate from the object itself rather than from conventional navigation lights.

Reported Flight Characteristics

Across numerous reports, witnesses have described orb-shaped UAP exhibiting characteristics such as:

  • Rapid acceleration from a stationary position.
  • Abrupt changes in direction.
  • Apparent flight alongside aircraft or moving vehicles.
  • Sudden disappearance or rapid departure from view.

Some witnesses have also reported objects that appear to change brightness, separate into multiple lights, or merge together during flight. Because many observations occur at significant distances or under challenging viewing conditions, these reported behaviors are difficult to verify independently.

Possible Explanations

Possible explanations include conventional aircraft observed under unusual conditions, balloons, atmospheric phenomena, optical effects, classified technology, or genuinely unidentified objects. Some researchers have proposed speculative propulsion concepts involving gravity, inertia, or electromagnetic fields to explain certain reported behaviors, but no publicly available evidence confirms that such technologies are responsible for observed UAP.
